Jubilee Farms is an urban farm that uses aquaponics, hydroponics, and other sustainable agriculture practices to grow vegetables, provide workforce development, and nurture community well-being.

WHAT IS AQUAPONICS?

Aquaponics is a closed-loop growing system where fish and plants work together. Fish provide nutrients for plants, plants filter the water, and the system uses up to 90% less water than traditional farming.

Location and Access

Jubilee Farms is an indoor urban farm located in the basement and on the rooftop of Jubilee Housing’s Ontario Place building, which provides deeply affordable housing for residents earning 30–60% of D.C.’s area median income.
